Richard “Dick” Rochfort

The National Association of Flight Instructors is proud to announce that NAFI member Richard “Dick” Rochfort has earned accreditation as a NAFI Master Flight Instructor. This is Rochfort’s eleventh NAFI Master Flight Instructor accreditation.

Rochfort has been a full-time flight instructor since 1992 and holds ATP, commercial, and Gold Seal flight instructor certificates with SEL, SES, MEL, CFII, MEI, and CE-525S ratings. He earned undergraduate degrees in clinical psychology and engineering, and a master’s degree in business administration.

He is an expert in the Piper PA-46 aircraft and his collected work may be found online at the PA-46 Pilot Reference Library. Rochfort’s YouTube channel has more than14,000 subscribers.

His military background includes industrial engineer training, Green Beret staff sergeant, and U.S. Army Special Forces Airborne radio operator. Rochfort lives in Baltimore, Maryland, with his wife and has two daughters. He is a scuba instructor, scuba first aid instructor, and an Eagle Scout.
