We Celebrate Aviation Educators
Flight instructors are responsible for setting a good example, teaching responsibility, managing risk and safety, and supporting continuous improvement. In turn, we are here to support them! Together, we form a network of instructors, mentoring the next generation.
Events of all types
NAFI proudly offers in-person and online educational experiences.
Every month, we broadcast MentorLIVE — an ongoing series of WINGS-approved programs, featuring subject matter experts from many aspects of the flight instruction industry. Hear from the best, and get your questions answered!
You’ll also find NAFI at NAFI Summit, AirVenture and other premier aviation events such as SUN ‘n FUN. Don’t miss our Professional Development Center Tent at EAA Oshkosh Airventure!

Special Interest Groups
NAFI hosts eleven member’s only conversational groups, each with a common topic of interest. These are perfect for instructors and aviation business owners to share knowledge in a casual setting.
Our groups cover the following topics: tailwheel, rotorcraft, twin-engine, high performance aircraft, seaplanes, gliders, drones, simulators, instrument instruction, business operations, tips for new flight instructors, and even advice for instructors looking to instruct other instructors!

NAFI Master Instructors
Congratulations to our recent NAFI Master Instructor Recipients:

NAFI Legacy Master Instructors
Continuing to meet the high standards for renewal every two years can be a challenge. While a past Master Instructor can no longer refer to themself as a MCFI or MGI, the ideals and sentiments of what a Master embodies remain with the instructor even when their accreditation expires.
With each two-year renewal, the professional legacy of a Master Instructor grows!
