Built to Move a Career Forward

Every year, NAFI and King Schools team up to put real resources behind a member who’s serious about growing as an instructor. One CFI or aspiring CFI is awarded $5,000 cash toward an initial or add-on CFI rating, plus lifetime access to the entire King Schools course library and FIRCs for life. A $20,000 investment in one flight instructor’s career.

Scholarship Criteria

What It takes to apply:

Required Materials:

  • Completed official NAFI-King Schools Scholarship application
  • Two one-page letters of recommendation
  • Typed, descriptive 500-word essay
  • Professional résumé
  • Front and back copies of all aviation certificates
  • Copy of current medical certificate

What Your Essay Should Cover

  • Your aviation history and goals
  • Steps you’ve taken to achieve those goals
  • Where you see yourself in 5 and 10 years
  • How the scholarship supports your objective and financial need
  • Training you need assistance with, and how past training was financed
  • Scholarships, awards, honors, and aviation involvement to date
