Cecilia Aragon

The National Association of Flight Instructors is proud to announce that NAFI member Cecilia Aragon has earned accreditation as a NAFI Master Flight Instructor. 

Aragon is an ATP-rated CFI, DPE, and retired air show pilot who served on the U.S. Unlimited Aerobatic Team from 1991 to 1994. She was a medalist at both the U.S. Nationals and World Aerobatic Championships.

Based at Paine Field in Washington, Aragon specializes in primary, aerobatic, tailwheel, and spin training. She holds CFII, MEI, CFI-ASES, and CFI-G ratings. Aragon has more than 6,600 flight hours and 40,000 landings.

A professor at the University of Washington and FAA Safety Team representative, she is also the author of Flying Free, winner of the International Latino Book Award gold medal for most inspirational memoir of 2021.
