Dah-Jin Mimi Ma

The National Association of Flight Instructors is proud to announce that NAFI member Dah-Jin Mimi Ma has earned accreditation as a NAFI Master Flight Instructor.

Ma is an aviation educator and flight training professional dedicated to supporting safe,
consistent, and thoughtful pilot development. She holds master’s degrees in chemistry and
aeronautics with a focus on aviation safety. She brings experience from the legal field, shaping an analytical perspective on training, decision-making, and regulatory responsibility.

An FAA Gold Seal CFI/CFII, Ma integrates science, safety principles, and instructional best
practices to support training standardization and risk-aware learning environments that
strengthen instructor consistency and pilot decision-making. She serves as an FAA Safety Team representative, academic faculty member at San José State University, and Part 141 check instructor. Ma also supports aviation education and outreach through nonprofit efforts serving women and future aviators.
