Dr. Tiziano "Tizi" Bernard | NAFI: National Association of Flight Instructors

The National Association of Flight Instructors is proud to announce that NAFI member
Dr. Tiziano “Tizi” Bernard has earned accreditation as a NAFI Master Flight Instructor.

Bernard is an FAA Gold Seal instructor who specializes in primary, advanced instrument,
and avionics training. A graduate of Florida Tech, he holds advanced degrees in aerospace
engineering, flight test engineering, and cognitive engineering. Bernard continues to build
expertise in flight operations through his past appointments in avionics research, Garmin flight deck design, and now Gulfstream experimental flight test. He serves as an adjunct professor of human factors and cognitive science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

He was elected to the Forbes Under 30 Italy 2019 list and was awarded AOPA’s 2025
