Jim Lewis

The National Association of Flight Instructors is proud to announce that NAFI member Jim Lewis has earned accreditation as a NAFI Master Flight Instructor.

Retiring in 2021 with more than 22,000 flight hours, Lewis dedicated himself to giving back to aviation by instructing and mentoring pilots across North Texas, primarily in the DFW metroplex. He has endorsed 46 students for ratings and certificates, holds CFI, CFII, MEL, and ATP certificates, is an FAA Gold Seal Flight Instructor, and a two-time AOPA Distinguished Flight Instructor (2023 and 2024). When not teaching, Lewis enjoys flying his Beechcraft Debonair and helping others discover the joy of flight. His goal is simple: to make every lesson meaningful, safe, and inspiring.
