Jaryd Copeland

The National Association of Flight Instructors is proud to announce that NAFI member Jaryd Copeland has earned accreditation as a NAFI Master Flight Instructor.  

Copeland is a Gold Seal flight instructor based in Hillsboro, Oregon, where he specializes in training CFI applicants. His experience includes conducting stage checks at a Part 141 flight school and teaching group ground schools, giving him a well-rounded perspective on developing confident, capable pilots.

He is completing a Bachelor of Science in aeronautics through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide and expects to graduate in October 2026. He hopes to apply the knowledge he has gained to help both himself and his students become safer, more effective pilots.

Outside of flight instruction, Copeland volunteers as a docent at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum and serves as chapter director for NGPA’s Rose City Flyers, an LGBTQIA+ aviation organization dedicated to making aviation more inclusive and welcoming.
