Jay Nabors

The National Association of Flight Instructors is proud to announce that NAFI member Jay Nabors has earned accreditation as a NAFI Master Flight Instructor. This is Nabors’ fourth NAFI Master Flight Instructor accreditation.

Nabors has been flying since 1975 and is a recipient of the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award. He holds a private pilot certificate in rotorcraft, ATP AMEL/ASEL certificates, and a second-in-command type rating in a Citation CE500.

Nabors has been a flight instructor since 2014 and holds CFI, CFII, MEI, AGI, and IGI instructor ratings. He is a FAASTeam representative and has served aviation in a variety of roles including FAA NPRM committees, CFI mentor, and conducting Angel and Pilots N Paws flights. He is DPE and has conducted more than 1,100 checkrides. Other flying passions include corporate flying in a Diamond DA-42, Pilatus PC-12, King Air 250, and Citation V.
