John Baldasaro

The National Association of Flight Instructors is proud to announce that NAFI member John Baldasaro has earned accreditation as a NAFI Master Flight Instructor.
Baldasaro retired from a career in healthcare information technology in 2020. Since then, he has pursued his lifelong passion for aviation. His retirement goal is to pass that passion on to aspiring aviators of all ages.
He became a CFI in March 2021, followed by CFII certification in May 2021. He has accumulated more than 2,200 hours of instructional time and has helped more than 30 students earn various aviation ratings. He serves as the assistant chief flight instructor at Five Star Flight Academy. He has flown 250 EAA Young Eagle flights and volunteers at the summer STEM camp program at Empire State Aerosciences Museum in Glenville, New York.
