Steven Goetz

The National Association of Flight Instructors is proud to announce that NAFI member Steven Goetz has earned accreditation as a NAFI Master Flight Instructor. This is Goetz’s eighth NAFI Master Flight Instructor accreditation.

Goetz began flying in 2004 and turned that passion into a career dedicated to teaching and mentoring future pilots. He is a Gold Seal CFI, CFII, MEI, AGI, IGI, ATP, and A&P mechanic. He is an associate professor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, providing flight training and evaluations. Beyond the classroom, he shares aviation with youth through summer camps and Young Eagles flights. As an FAA Safety Team representative and designated pilot examiner, Goetz continues to shape the next generation of aviators with enthusiasm and expertise.
