Sydney Pilling

The National Association of Flight Instructors is proud to announce that NAFI member
Sydney Pilling has earned accreditation as a NAFI Master Flight Instructor.

Pilling completed her flight training at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona
Beach, Florida, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science and a master’s degree in occupational safety. Pilling is a Gold Seal CFI/II, instrument rated commercial MEL/SEL/Glider, and AGI/IGI. She worked at Illinois Aviation Academy as a flight instructor, check instructor, standardization instructor, and team lead. Her favorite students to work with were the CFI initial applicants, where she eventually saw many of her former students have students of their own. She volunteers in her local EAA chapter, EAA AirVenture, and the Northern Illinois Air Show.
