Thao Do

 The National Association of Flight Instructors is proud to announce that NAFI member Thao Do has earned accreditation as a NAFI Master Flight Instructor.

Do is a CFI, CFII, and MEI specializing in accelerated training for single and multi-engine aircraft, from private pilot to instructor certifications and stage checks. She teaches ground schools, writes aviation books, serves as an FAA representative, and hosts FAA WINGS seminars. Do combines her experience as a corporate jet pilot with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech, a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences, and expertise in education, marketing, and law.

Her scenario-based teaching approach leads students on a journey of personal transformation, elevating their communication, situational awareness, and decision-making skills in aviation and in life. She believes flying offers a unique spiritual connection with nature and God through breathtaking views of emerald hills and turquoise waters beneath golden pink sunsets.
