Thomas “Michael” Jones

The National Association of Flight Instructors is proud to announce that NAFI member Thomas “Michael” Jones has earned accreditation as a NAFI Associate Master Flight Instructor.

Jones’s interest in aviation began at age 19 when he was a freshman in college. He comes from a family of pilots (great-grandfather and grandfather) and fell in love with aviation on his first discovery flight. He completed training through a Part 61 flight school while earning a bachelor’s degree in aviation management from Auburn University in Alabama. After graduation, he worked in airport operations at a Part 139 airport while completing his commercial and flight instructor certificates with Aspire Aviation. He was hired by Aspire and became chief instructor at its KPQL location and will soon assume that role at its KAUO location.
